![]() ContactWe'd love to hear from you! Below are some specific ways to contact us and/or help L.A. River Expeditions further its mission of helping the L.A. River become a real river once again. Send us your thoughts! Want to register for a river expedition? Unfortunately, the program is now in the "off-season" as the various partners decide what 2012 will entail. The proposed plan is for the program to begin again in May 2012. Expressing your opinion on expanding this program to include more people and possibly be able to go on other parts of the river is very valuable at this point. Jot us a note and we'll be sure to pass it along to the powers that be. Sharing your opinions on the program with your political representative(s) is another effective way to make a difference. We recommend you make your voice heard with your local city councilmember. Send that email today! Volunteer or intern with L.A. River Expeditions or one of our partners: Los Angeles Conservation Corps, Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority, the city of Los Angeles, the Army Corps of Engineers, The River Project, Friends of the LA River, or Urban Semillas. Support the pilot program, Paddle the LA River. The program is largely funded and managed by Los Angeles Conservation Corps, and they are working hard to make the program financially feasible, thanks to people like Bruce Saito (Executive Director), Irene Lopez-Muro and Pablo Cardoza (Sr. Program Mgrs.) and Yasmin Corona (Program Mgr.). LACC a wonderful non-profit organization and your tax-deductible money is well-spent with them. Make an introduction between LA River Expeditions and someone you know who is in a position to help further the concept of responsible, safe, non-motorized boating on the Los Angeles River. Or, if you have brilliant ideas for how to realize a cleaned-up, greened-up, revitalized river, send them our way. The best way for things to move forward is by acting as a community. Thanks! We look forward to hearing from you. |
